Just thinking out loud here but why can't tumbleweeds be pretty? LOL...so many of them growing around my yard. I always wait for a monsoon rain storm to blow through and then get outside to pull these out. Makes my day getting rid of them

As a child I loved to see the tumbleweeds blowing around. I grew up in Southern California and my grandmother had a place in the San Bernadino Mountains and I had a aunt in Victorville. Loved to see those things blowing across the road. I remember people making things out of them, the one I remember most is they would paint them white and stack them up like snowmen.

My Dad would make tumbleweed snowmen too!! We did that at our other place. People just cracked up because we lived in the high desert and there were plenty of them around...just not many snowmen. Ha.

Tumbleweed (Russian Thistle) is everywhere here----everywhere except my little farm! My goats have obliterated it and I am so very happy about that. I hate the stuff.

HearthCricket Farm. Where the door is always open, and the coffee is always on.
