Hurricane Irene is on a track to Florida and the official daily watch and worry has started!! I hate this time of year having to worry if this storm or that storm is going to pound on us!!!Send prayers that it will turn east into the Atlantic and leave us and states further north from it's path of destruction!

Winnie, Don't worry to much a Cat. 3 is not that bad. Now if they start talking about a Cat. 5 then you can start worrying. Then I really keep an eye on it. Although I still will not leave my home. Last time in 2004 I think that was the year we had all the hurricanes. We stuck it out and it turned into a Cat. 5 right before it hit. It came right across us. The after math was pretty bad. When it is a Cat. 5 then you need to stock up on supplys. We left for the next one and regreted it. All I did was worry about my home and animals. I will never leave my home again during one. I will stick it out with my animals. My husband parks all of our equipment around the house to block the wind or any debris that might blow our way. When we stayed for the hurricane last time we actually went out side during the hurricane and patched our roof as part of it sounded like it was about to come off. Water was pouring out of my chandilier over my dining room table and we were able to save all of it by being here. I do not think this storm is going to directly hit us so I would not worry if I were you. But I am praying that it stays at a Cat. 3.
We need the rain right now or a good tropical depression. I am glad I did not plant my tomatoe plants this week end. Because the wind will wreck havoc on a garden!!

Seize The Day!
