Hi there-- I have almost 2 gallons of organic whole milk that have gone sour while we were on vacation. I just cannot bear the thought of throwing it out and wondered if anyone had any recipes that call for sour milk? Your thoughts and recipes would be greatly appreciated!

You can use it in place of buttermilk if it is not too sour. It also makes an amazing fertilizer!

I use sour milk in baking or making pancakes. I don't like throwing food out either.

I milk goats and after I rinse the buckets and jugs, I throw that on all my plants. I am amazed at how big my fig trees are and I just got 2 of them this spring. They were only a few inches tall and now they are at least 4' tall now and have figs on them. The one I got last year is loaded and is over my head already. So the milk has to be doing something to them. I also give whey and old milk to the chickens. They love it.

Mix in some moss and blend it well to paint on rock walls, clay pots, concrete statues etc to encourage the old mossy look that takes forever to grow naturally. Keep it misted everyday for a week or so. It really works!
