I used to make a ton of fruit rollups - the kids just loved them. A good, healthy snack.

Our pear trees are finally old enough to produce - I have one that is still very very hard. Does anyone know what type it may be and if it will eventually rippen so I can use. The other one is perfectly ripe now. I told the husband to write the info down. (should have done it myself huh? hahaha) |

Kathy what does the pear look like? If you can post a pic maybe one of us here can tell ya what kind it is...so many different kinds...You can ripen it by putting it in a brown paper bag...I like mine hard...so I am always eating them before they are completely ripe.

I dont know how to post pics on here yet, I will try to learn that. It is a brbownish color, if that helps. It is very hard, unlike my other pears that are a yellow and soft. |
