Moda Bake Shop has a wonderful website for instructions on how to use all of those pre-cut fabrics..PLUS free quilt patterns. If you go to their "bakery" page, it describes all of the different cuts and what you would do with them.
Kris, I think it is awesome that you want to make the small quilts for your friend's kids and husband. What a wonderful thing to do! And oh the memories you will have of doing that. :)

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce, Or a trouble is what you make it! And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts, But only--how did you take it?
I suppose it is a good thing, these pre cut squares and such. Like Tina said, people with arthritis or other debilitating desease would be better able to keep making quilts. I may one day have to go that route too. So I guess it's a good thing. And also for people with so little time. And people like Marly!
I think when my friend's kids get back in school, we will start working on those quilts. Lots of cutting for sure.
I am so excited about this knitting class tomorrow! I have just one size 8 needle. So I guess I'll have to buy another set. Wish me luck.
