Question for the ladies who order chicks or hatch chicks often: About how many is typical to lose to "failure to thrive" or other issues?
How many extra birds should you order or hatch to get the number of adult birds you want?

He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him. The moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut.” ~Will Rogers
I have only ordered what I want, and the company will add one or two "bonus" chicks. I've lost maybe one out of an order of 25. Sometimes I lose none. When I do lose one, it's usually to splayed legs that doesn't allow them to get to the food.
