Okay, now all of you know how much I love the mountains of Colorado and living here, well this morning I was blessed with yet another reason why I live her. Three Huge bucks, Two Does and Five fawns, yep 5 Fawns 2 Does. One doe had 2 and one had 3. We get a lot of twins but rarely triplets, a neighbor saw them born behind her property so we know that one is not an orphan. They all were on the back of my 3 acres so I did not get good pictures but it was such a joy just to watch them all and the fawns follickly in my grass. Ladies believe me when I say I am not bragging just sharing what I see out my back door in the morning. Farmgirl Hugs, Debbie
If you are lucky enough to live in the mountains you are lucky enough.

What is a "hugh" buck? Here, we have Mule Deer, Blacktail, and (across the mtns from here ) Whitetail. I have never heard of a "Hugh". Is it another sub-species of Mule Deer?

What a treat to see so many deer in one place at one time. We occasionally see a doe or three. This summer we have seen on separate occasions two spotted fawn. We do not see buck. Each time we do we all pause and watch. We all feel we have been given a gift when they come by.

What a lovely image I have in my mind of all of "your" deer. When we lived on the high prairie along the front range of Colorado we had a small herd of deer that moved across our property every night...often as many as 12-15 of them. It was something to see. I rarely see deep now that I live in Phoenix and I miss them...and I apprecate that you shared your experience.
