Ricing is more like running it through a seive so it comes out a bit dry and grainy, I use my " food mill" like for making applesause, which I got at the thrift store. Mary LD

The ricer is more delicate on your food then a food processor. I don't have a food processor, but I have heard that things like potatoes and such will come out gloppy/goopy/glue like in a food processor but a ricer will mash your taters really nice, with out the glue effect. Seems to me a food processor would probably take out most the texture as well to cauliflower that you would have left if you used a ricer instead.

I had to go look up what a 'ricer' was before I could ask..... Do you want the cauliflower to be in pieces like actual rice or mashed like mashed potatoes? Just curious.
Do what you love, love what you do. |

My cauliflower looks just like rice in my food processor but that might be cause I pulse it...
