What a cutie patootie. I love the "thinkology" part. I follow another blog that's strictly secular homeschooling which is cool since not everyone's religious beliefs can follow with a majority of the homeschooling curriculum out there. I'm looking forward to seeing how you do things.

August 15th?? wow, you guys are on the ball :)
I can't believe it is time already to get our school on!
Don't know how much I'm going to blog homeschool this year, but it really IS handy to have it to look back over the previous year when it comes time to do portfolios.

I love the fact that you picked out a mascot and colors and everything! I've been doing this for 8 years and never had the kids choose a mascot! We just might have to do that this year! How fun! ~April

My hubby picked the name, my daughter picked the colors, and hubby calls me a squirrel, so that is the mascot. We had fun doing this.
I use a variety of things to teach with. I use some secular and some Christian. I just teach what I think my daughter should learn.
Have a wonderful day.

Amy, A henhouse for homeschooler's sounds like a wonderful idea. I read on your blog that you live on the outskirts of Houston. North, south?? I live north of Houston. We school year round, with a week off every six weeks, a couple weeks at Christmas and then time off during all the major livestock shows and we're off a little in August to get ready for the new year which we start the 1st Monday after Labor Day.

Mrs Rooster- I want to join the henhouse when it is ready. Thanks for taking the initiative and starting one. I enjoyed reading your blog, and look forward to what's to come.
