Hi everyone! Tonight I finished my very first 5K ever. It's been a tough year for me physically, as last October I blew out my knee, had knee surgery, then did 3-4 months of physical therapy. So tonight was a big deal for me! I finshed in 48:20, which was a little slower than I wanted, but I finished! The picture below is of me and my Mom after the race. I'm the one in the blue t-shirt on the right. It was a lot of fun and I look forward to running another one soon.

Congratulations, Megan. You must have followed through on your PT with flying colors. We have a run in Spokane on Lilac Day that is a 12K. My sons and I both have done this one. Mostly we just walk, but walking for 2+ hours is a hard thing to do. We have been pleased to finish though and even just to get the T-shirt is great.

Congrats! I finished my first 5k a couple of years ago. It is such a good feeling! My hubby is a triathlete and keeps all his race bibs, so I do too now and my kids did their first races last summer and have kept theirs. Keep up the good work!!!! Milestones are very important to remember!!!!

Thanks April! My aunt and her dad actually just did a sprint triathalon a few weeks ago. One of my goals is to someday train for a marathon, but I think I should get a few more 5Ks under my belt first! God's and Farmgirl's Blessings, Megan
