Same thrift store, different day.

A beautiful tablecloth with yellow center and roses around the edge, NO stains and only one tiny pinhole. A well loved small platter from Finland (for 25 cents) bright sunflower napkins and 2 fruit themed ones that I'll give to my daughter as they will go in her dining room . . and a sweet little potholder. Tablecloth and sunflower napkins will go "glamping" and the tablecloth will probably get to shine in my Farmers Market apron booth this summer.
Love this thrift shop!!

I agree Michelle - we need the "Like" button!

CJ - you go girl... You've got one heck of a thrift store near you! Love the tablecloth with the yellow roses - so nice.

And congratulations Lori - nice score! Don't you love it when you find something and its the right "color" for 50% off. It makes the score even sweeter...

Girls, I loved reading about all of your finds.
Last weekend, I scored three pieces of Miller's Mud Mill pottery for 5 dollars total. Then, today my girls and I went I the best little secondhand store in Fayetteville, Arkansas called "Used 2B New". We were visiting my brother for the day. Anyway, my eight-year-old bought herself a new shirt to wear when showing her goat (perfect condition); a denim mini dress; a puffy vest (like her big sis's); a like new pair of running shorts; and a brand new pair of handmade earrings for 19 dollars. My 13 year old bought herself a cute navy party dress and a beautiful shirt with a lace insert on the back and a vintage locket necklace -- all for 14 dollars. They were so tickled with their finds.

I don't thrift store shop too often, but yesterday I went to a small shop.

I brought home a small dish to use as a soap dish (picture is on today's blog post), two hat boxes to re- purpose for gift boxes and two tin cups to re-purpose into pin cushions. The hat boxes were $1.00 each.

I may get time to stop at another one today, but they typically don't have vintage items (Goodwill around our area sells all those items on-line on ebay etc).

I hit a great sale at my favorite thrift store - all clothes were $1.00. I found 3 blouses and 2 mock-turtlenecks (brand new with tags). Then I found a very nice vintage pyrex rectangular container with lid (in great shape - no chips in the lid) for $2.00 (originally $4.00 but it half off). It was a good day...

Found this CUTE, RETRO tray/stand at a thrift yesterday for $1.00. It is a bit smaller than some of those "TV Trays" . . it is 13 1/4 x 18 inches. I have some other ones that my father-in-law gave me that are 15 3/4 x 22 inches.
Anyway, great for setting up anywhere . . and taking "glamping"!

YAY! Michele . . now that I know we have matching trays I'll think of you as well.

It's fun when these things happen. Gracie "katmom" and I have matching retro look radio/CD players and "glamper" trailer nightlights! So I'll think of her when I use them.

How fun!

On Monday, coming home from work, I went into a thrift store calling me! I found doilies of all things, reminded me of Idaho City and the little shelves! $1.00 each, I have washed them, but not ironed/blocked them yet. This site was too slow too load them, will try again in a bit. None vintage find: a like-new glass Pyrex blue pie dish- $3.00! I always wanted one...

I actually found two doilies yesterday, at the same thrift,in a "country yellow", vintage . . . will look great with my farm-y, vintage-y items on my credenza/buffet and a red square tablecloth which will be great under some of my vintage/retro print tablecloths in a layered look (one of my favorite things to do).

I found about 6 or 7, but went with the ones I liked best, and 2 that matched. The cashier said "we don't see these very often". Glad I stocked up!

These are the 2 little shelves I saw in a restaurant bathroom, chocked full of vintage stuff! Found the doilies the next day-

Gracie, We have a decanter very similar to that one . . . my hubby keeps his fine Scotch whiskey in it. It's not "blinged" . . he probably wouldn't let me.

lol! awe why not? lol!
ok here is the 'blinged' version...

I am actually thinking,,, how fun would this be to fill with flavored olive oil(w/garlic) or flavored vinegars???? Would make a perfect gift bottle for the oil or viegar.
