ok,,, now I really am in Junktiquing withdrawals!!! I need to take a trip down the mountain and hit Salvation Army, Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity and any others I can find along the way..
It's suppose to rain like crazy for the next 4-5 days.... so I might have to wait till after the rains... the disadvantage of living up in the mountains,,, the weather determins ones activities... on the other hand,,, it keeps me from putting us into the poor house too! lololol!

A few weeks ago I scored 3 boxes of assorted Blue Willow dishware at a yard sale for $20. So far I've washed & sorted them and have energy some ob Ebay. This small tureen of English scenery has a new life as my snack holder.

I found this Johnson Bros Platter yesterday. Was $10 at an estate sale. I absolutely love it. Always exciting to find something wonderful for cheap.

Very nice! I see the blue ones around a lot, but the red ones seem to be a little more rare.

Ceejay, those are truly beautiful. I wish our thrift stores sold stuff for such little money. I think they read the antique magazines and jack up the prices.

What a beautiful doily set, CJ! And they seem to be in such good condition! I love looking at vintage crochet pieces in thrift stores just for the patterns you don't see in crochet magazines any more.

Blessings to you on your life's journey.

Bonnie, I've found lots of wonderful linens in our local thrift shops, one in particular, for good prices!

Alise, they are in perfect condition! Probably never used and doubt they've been displayed much either!

Easter clearance!!! 50% at Walmart earlier this week, 70% off at Target yesterday

Got green crinkle paper filler for $0.50 a bag - will use for Easter basket next year and Christmas gift baskets this year.

Cellophane wrap for $1 a roll - Also to be used for Christmas gift baskets and for this idea:

http://www.morestylethancash.com/inexpensive-candy-filler.html

Also picked up Nivea lip balms for about $1 each for stocking stuffers - normally $3.29 each

Oh! And I found large plastic wreath storage containers in regular clearance aisle at Walmart for $3.50 each! I've been making a lot of wreaths and was so happy to find these as I need a way to keep them from being damaged in storage!

I found a cast iron dutch oven when we were cleaning out my parents' shed. I never even knew we had one. It is rusty so I am going to clean it up and hopefully use it when (if) I get the chance to go camping in the future. I also found four horseshoes from the game but not the metal spikes you throw them at. They are very heavy. They say "Royal" on the back. anyone know about this company?

Cindy,
My hubby and unearthed from different places, two cast iron Dutch ovens. One of them used to have three legs, he made a new one for it and made a new lid for it. It has a bail, great for campfires. The other one doesn't have a bail but he did find a glass lid for it. It would be used in an oven, etc. He got all the rust off, cleaned them up and seasoned them.

My latest find are 5 free mineral lick tubs I am going to turn into large planters to replace my whiskey barrels I have had for years. They have simply fallen apart. A friend is giving me the lick tubs and I am going to use some spray paint and pallets we have. I will tear them apart, cut them to length and glue/screw the slat pieces around the tubs and have them replace my whiskey barrels. I am not paying $50 plus including tax for a new wooden barrel, actually it would be over $100 for two. Not doing it. I think these will look just as nice. Hubby suggested I save the rings off the old ones and see if I can make them work on the new ones just for looks. Going to try.

I went to the annual rummage sale at the church right down the road from me a couple of weekends ago. Lo and behold, there were two pretty love seats in excellent condition, so I grabbed them for $35 each. They even delivered them! I'll get a picture after my old couch gets moved out. They are really colorful, and even more important, the upholstery fabric is sturdy enough to withstand cat attacks! This is a double score for me because I was going to have to make a slip cover for the old couch. The fabric alone probably would have cost more, plus now I can take that job off my UFO list. Woo Hoi!

Happy Day!

Amy, don't you just love it when you put it out there what you need and it shows up. I call it "putting it out to the universe". Happens a lot. I have become a believer in this process.

So excited at my Friday afternoon find, not even sure what this is called, but its a frame/loom for cross stitch or embroidery. $12 at Goodwill. (Came with the UFO and the pattern and supplies to finish it. Lol, will add it to my UFO pile!)
