Hi, Just got back. My son whisked me to Maryland so I could get in the ocean before my surgery. I must have been in the water 6-8 hours solid and didn't want to get out then! LOL! I loved every minute of it.
About the background and leaf color~ Do we all want to have it a light color of our own choosing or offwhite/beige? The leaf itself can be any color you want. We should have all the leaves facing the same direction also. The stem in the right lower corner with the leaf pointing up and left.
I will come back on and tell you where to go for the pattern.

Google Maple Leaf quilt blocks. The second block is orange and brown and has the stem in the right lower corner and leaf facing up and left. The pattern is further right. It is a 9 block. I can only find 12" pattern sizes. Do any of you have the 12 1/2" pattern?

Good Susan. Everyone go to Quilters Village for the pattern. I couldn't find the 12 1/2" pattern I saw before.

Just want to make sure I got the right pattern. It is a maple leaf with a printed center and plaid and red for the leaf? Is this correct? Also I like the idea of using an off white background, but I will do what ever the group decides. Thanks. Rebecca Thinking of you every day Darlene. May I ask, when is your surgery?

I like the idea of using what we want, background and leaf. Will keep in touch for the decision.

After thinking about it, my feeling is white or off white doesn't seem very fall to me. How about a light green or light gold color? That just seems more fall-ish. There maybe other options I haven't thought of.

Hi Everyone, I went to Quilters Village and the pattern I found is the same one that Rebecca did and it said it is 12" finished so what pattern are we using. Thanks for any help.

I found the 12 1/2" block I was looking for. Google Delaware Quilts. Click blocks. Scroll down to different block sizes and click on autumn leaves and the block and directions are there.I will make the blocks a little larger so I can trim to 12 1/2".
Vote for background color: 1.Off white/beige 2.White 3.Any light fall color, gold, green, orange, tan etc. of your choice.

I like it Darlene. My vote is for option three, light fall colors, it would give us more variety

Thanks Darlene, I found the pattern and I think #3. I would like to use a cream or tan color for my background. Hope things are better, praying for you.
