A combine. I'm amazed. It's SO huge! I never imagined we'd own a piece of equipment that big. Here's to hoping the wheat/corn/soybean markets stay high!

no offence, BUT, for you I hope you do well, but for those of us, I hope the market costs come down for the ones that do not grow their own, cause the soaring costs are putting alot of us out of business...

Tina-we have a cow/calf operation-feed prices are sky high for us, too. This is in no way meant to be offensive! :) My husband still works full time, and has dreams of being a farmer full time, so this is what he's doing now. I guess I'm just hoping the markets stay high enough for him to be able to make enough money to be a stay-at-home farmer. We used to grow tobacco seed crop, but that's gone under, so my DH had to start a full time job.

I wonder what it would be like to have a date night in an expensive vehicle like a combine?

It's pretty cramped quarters! We have had a few dinners on the back of the pickup as a "date" out by the farm pond. That's always fun! :) We have a Coleman picnic backpack that makes taking picnic food out super easy. :)

Act like it's date night and snuggle up in the combine and "break it in". I can't wait to get a big vehicle (or at least a small tractor).
Hugs and Good wishes to you.

That big machinery is amazing to me. To this day, I still am in awe at how they get hay cut and worked around into a nice neat little bale. Combining is even more impressive. I love to watch the harvesters work. Those big farms where they have several harvesters working in unison is like watching a ballet in my eyes.
