Kathy- You should be sending a set, so yours will be matching of each other but they don't have to match the ones you will be recieving.

I did a tutorial on how to make a pillow case a good while ago. I remember I received a lot from the MJF members that I sent on to a cancer for kids center. I am trying to find it. If I remember right, I used a 28 x 40-ish piece of fabric for the main case. A 10 to 12 X 40-ish piece for the cuff and maybe 1 1/2 or 2 inch piece for an accent.
This is the patten I will be using. I will embroider the cuffs.
I am going to visit the fabric shop on monday and see what I can find.

Is this still open and can I sign up? I need an excuse to finally get my sewing machine out of the box. I bought it in 2009, as my Xmas present from hubby since he couldn't get out to buy me a present.

Kathy,
I hope you find your tutorial. Would love to watch it, as I've never made a pillow case before, which is why I decided to do the swap and stretch myself along with making this my first project on the 1935 Singer sewing machine I just had refurbished so I can use it. I bought it for $5 and spent $70 getting it fixed so I could use it. So excited about using this lovely old machine If only it could tell me all the wonderful and exciting projects that have been made on it...

Hate to do this but I need to drop the swap. My father in-law may have to have some surgery on his back and since I'll be the one taking care of him, I won't have the time to participate.

Marsha- Sign ups haven't closed yet. Not until September 1! I will be updating the thread tomorrow when I have a bit more time with the computer.

Mini- I understand! Don't worry! I will remove you! I hope your FIL's surgery goes well!

I would love to sign up for this swap. I just recently came across a really cute autumn themed pillowcase embroidery transfer that would be a lot of fun to try out.

I think I am going to have to drop out also. I have already gotten stressed about it, since I don't have my sewing machine running. I hope to try to participate another time. Thanks for understanding.
