We are anticipating a bumper crop of tomatoes this year and I'm remembering my mother's tomato preserves. However I do not have any idea how she made them. I'd like to give it a try. Does anyone have a foolproof recipe for a first-timer? What about using green tomatoes as well? My mother always used ripe tomatoes, but I wonder how green tomato jam would taste.
