Alan Jackson Remember When. LOVE that song.

Anything in Italian. Goosebumps all over.

And the song that is played at the very end of The Mirror Has Two Faces when Barbara Striesand and Jeff Bridges come together in the middle of a New York street in the early morning and the guy up in his apartment puts that record on. I get goose bumps thinking of it right now. I watch that movie just for that scene and that song.

Annika that's Run for the Roses by Dan Fogelberg. He was an incredible musician. Scarecrows Dream was his; Another Auld Lang Syne; Souvenirs, Power of Gold, Dancing Shoes, the Reach. I saw him on concert three times, just amazing! Died from cancer a couple years ago.

I love this thread!

You know many Paul McCartney/Beatles/Wings songs give me goosebumps: Hey Jude, The Long and Winding Road, Let it Be, Maybe I'm Amazed and Mul of Kintire are just a few. Also Bob Dylan's "Knocking on Heaven's Door".

"Small Town Southern Man" by Alan Jackson gets me every time. I first heard this the day my dad died and it so fits him.

Thank you Marsha, he was an incredible musician, it's sad that he fell to cancer. I truly love that song

Recently, I heard for the first time in my life, real cowboy music! Sung a cappella by a man with an amazing voice! Wow! It just got to my soul and was powerful and beautiful. I don't tend to like a lot that gets played to death on the radio, and love more authentic music and this just was incredible! He sang about a dozen songs, all written by himself. So this isn't so much a song that gets me all goose-bumpy, but a vocal style!

I love going outside and singing to my garden as I water it. The plants seem to like it and if they're really good I sing them Hallelujah sung by Rufus Wainwright, originally by Leonard Cohen. KD Lang also does a good version of it. You can hear it here:

Highland Cathedral on the bagpipes. When my son graduated from St Andrews the pipe band played this as the graduates walked across the bridge on campus. Every parent was in tears. Absolutely beautiful.

"A Bushel and Peck" sung by Doris Day. My Mother sang it to all of us kids (6), all of her grand-children (11), and most of her great-grandchildren(15). It's not a sad song, but a glad song. I had never heard the song sung except by Mom and never the entire thing because she couldn't remember all the lyrics or where she heard it! But that's what we all heard when she was holding us, rocking us, putting us to bed, etc...

Ironically, last week I came across the movie "Julie and Julia" while eating lunch and ended up watching the whole thing. Good thing I did because it was in the movie!!! You cannot imagine how thrilled and choked up I was! I quickly googled it to learn more about it and found it was sung by Doris Day and I wrote down all the lyrics. So I put the link of Doris Day singing it on Facebook for the entire family! If there is one song that goes hand in hand with my Mother, it's this one! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! So cute and so heart felt! Now I just need to find it on a record or tape to give to her at Christmas since she's still with us!

CeeJay---"Wind Beneath My Wings" by Gary Morris. . . .a big YES!

Not many people are familiar with his version, but, oh, it's got Bette Midler's version beat~! (Sorry, Bette).

I've posted before but I've thought of another. . . ."Go Rest High On That Mountain" by Vince Gill.

and "This Ol' Guitar" by John Denver (and well. . .pretty much anything by JD)

Someone mentioned Dan Fogleberg and i instantly thought of his song "The Innocent Age" which I think was his best. The cover of the album featured an antique doll resting against, I believe, a tombstone.

So many great songs on this thread!

First ones to come to mind:
Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkle - so simple, so timeless, so powerful
Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley, also New Years Prayer by him - such a shame he left us so young!
Anything Celtic, Mummer's Dance by Loreena Mckennitt especially. Give me bagpipes and fiddle and I get a little giddy...

I don't normally listen to country music, but I just saw this video for If I Die Young by The Band Perry and it about made me cry.

Nice Anne of Green Gables reference too!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NJqUN9TClM&ob=av2e

But Kitchens of Distinction have the ultimate goosebumps song for me. My husband put this on the very first mix tape he made me shortly after we met. Funny, I've never seen the video until today...and look at all the wedding imagery! I guess it was a subliminal hint.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JXk_oV4nbo

Here are some others I'd put on the list. Sorry to post so many links...people don't usually recognize the music I like.

Big Car by Severed Heads (It's not what you think from the band name, I swear! Sadly, youtube only has a remix and that doesn't produce goosebumps like the album version.)

They Are Night Zombies!! They Are Neighbors!! They Have Come Back From the Dead!! Ahhhh!! by Sufjan Stevens (true goosebumps if you're approaching middle age and fear for the state of the nation)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_e0Ju4eDROE

Mother Goose by Jethro Tull (my dad was a big fan)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TrSYs4ZjyY

Earth Household by Daniel Amos (my favorite Christian band from high school days--I don't care if they did rip off DH Lawrence)

So very many I can not just name one title: There are epic soundtracks works thru some powwow drum music to country songs that tickle my soul and stir my heart. Also I especially get goosebumps from many of Enya's songs aswell as Connie Dover's.
