I was playing around in the kitchen today and made some Buttermilk Cornmeal Waffles! They are not sweet at all and would be really good as dinner waffles covered with creamed chicken or chili, etc.

I think the addition of blueberries would be great too. I like blueberry cornbread muffins for a nice change. There is also a restaurant in Asheville NC that serves cornmeal pancakes and they add some orange zest to the batter and some orange zest butter on top when served. Heavenly! Your idea of dinner waffles sounds good and a tempting idea for a dinner change!
