It seems like the light purple (which is what my Oma and Opa had) with yellow beards or the light purple and white are the best for that scent. It's a sort of grape Kool-aid but fresher scent.

I would be our states flower a wild prarie rose, can grow anywhere, resilent in adversity... after all they can regrow after -40 degrees below and 97 above. The wilder the weather the better the blooms. They flower almost all summer long and the have the best rose hips that you could possibly want. I have a patch of wild roses that I have shared with about 6 friends and all the patches are growing wonderfully.

She had scarlet begonias tucked into her curls. I knew right away she was not like other girls, other girls :)

Oh my goodness! The answers are as wonderful and varied as the states they come from! North Dakota, Washington and Colorado... loved them all!!!

(And my search for "Scarlet Begonias tucked in her curls" gave me a much more interesting author than I'd imagined!!!)

You Farmgirls just delight me!!

I would be a cardinal climber! They grow toward the sun and spout bright trumpet flowers that open their little faces toward the sun every day. They entertain the humming birds wonderfully! I also enjoy rock climbing and being in the sunshine--to soak up the vitamin D of course! People would say that I have a cheery, bright personality, and even though I do not play the trumpet, I love listening to and making music!

Garden Dancer... that's just grand!
Wouldn't it be great if we could all get together.. and we could come to the gathering carrying the flowers we hope to represent. What a fun garden party that would be!

I would be a yellow rose. The rose of friendship. Bright yellow like the sun. The color yellow represents joy, wisdom, power, warmth and happiness.

I would be a lantana. Mainly because I love them, admittedly, but they survive anything!

I'd also be a tulip like Mindy. Tulips have been a favorite for a long time. They are simple, yet elegant. I had a small bouquet of white tulips wrapped in wide fancy pattern ribbon for my wedding bouquet.

I'd be a Colorado Columbine . . . stunning beauty and grace growing in some of the most adverse conditions.

The flower I would be is Lilly of the Valley, not my favorite, but it reminds me of old days gone by. The little bell flowers with sweet fragrance, the green foliage lasting long after the flowers were gone. It was also my grandmothers favorite perfume. Thanks for the memories.

I would be a pinkish red hollyhock. Long and tall I'd stretch up to the sun and share myself with hummingbirds, bees and butterflies. I'd laugh as they tickled me gathering my nectar. I'd bend with the wind and never break. Whatever storm came my way I'd weather it and keep on smiling.

Oh....more wonderful "flower-girl" posts! Have loved them all so very much!

Last month I added another little piece to my blog... "Let's Hear it for Marigolds" ( http://field-days.com/lets-hear-it-for-marigolds )

I called them sweet little unsung heroes because they were the only thing that really thrived for me this summer with our heat and our drought. And I realized... I was right to claim the geranium for myself. My geraniums and I have been thrilled to see this summer go!

I'd be the little wild rose...not a true beauty like the other roses, but resilient and blooming faithfully no matter the hardships. Rambling and a bit wild, Simple and sweet , but she still has thorns Stubbornly blooms where ever she is planted and she has big hips
