HI!
I'm Brandi and I just moved to the Kansas City Mo area (Lee's Summit) from Amana Iowa a few months ago. I am originally from Gig Harbor Washington though. I'm looking to connect to some ladies in the area. I tryed to contact some farmgirl groups in my area, but all the emails bounced back. I'm 31 and live with my boyfriend and his three kids ages 15, 12 and 9. I love history and am a civil war reeenactor. I'm also into reading, art and writing. I love Mary Janes Farm for its girly craftyness and it beautiful pictures of the outdoors. I like be outside and exploring the world around me. Originally from Ohio but lived in Ga for 29 yrs.
Civil war re-enactment is very popular here.

Hi Brandi , wow I love both amana and KC. Have you taken a trip to Lexington Mo yet? It's a fun little town with lots of Civil war history. And you just can't beat KC BBQ . TWO of my favorite BBQ places are close to you . summit BBQ in lees summit and jacks stacks in Martin city . Columbia has Amish and Springfield has civil war and Bass Pro good quilt shops too . I live in Colo but try to make it to Mo every year

Hi Brandi, Welcome from the northern far reaches of the KC metro area. I haven't been in contact with any local Sisterhood clubs either since I joined this Spring, but it sounds like fun. I've lived in the KC area all of my life, so if you have any questions about getting around or finding anything, feel free to ask. One of my favorite places to shop in your "neighborhood" is Cockerel's General Store, just a little east of Lee's Summit. It might be a good place to check out for setting up your new homestead!!

Paula, Cockerels is about 15 mins east of Brandi, and that would be a great place to go. It's been awhile since I've gone up there, need to soon. Once you all get comfortable here, drop by our hen house, Scattered Prairie gals. We'd love to have you join us. Have a good evening everyone!

I live near Wichita, Kansas but grew up about 3 hours south of KC. My mother now lives in Butler, MO and my older sister lives in KC. Classygram didn't tell you about the Scattered Prairie Gals. We are mostly a cyberspace henhouse but some of us have met at least once.
