Todaya, on facebook, I was looking at the charming photos of the birds and nests and eggs that are being discovered on the MJF farm. In the background were little peeps at one of the buildings, and the surrouinding area.

Without invading privacy, I think it would be a great article for the magazine to feature the farm and include photos of where all the magic happens. I would love to see the buildings, offices, and gardens that exist on the farm. Has that been done already? I often wonder what it looks like there, beyond what we have seen already.

I would enjoy that!

Happy it is, indeed, for me that my heart is capable of feeling the same simple and innocent pleasure as the peasant whose table is covered with food of his own rearing, and who not only enjoys his meal, but remembers with delight the happy days and sunny mornings when he planted it, the soft evenings when he watered it, and the pleasure he experienced in watching it’s daily growth.

Ditto! I love the glimpses we get on the videos and would love to see more about the workings of MJF. I have a fondness for working out buildings and all they contain!

Agreed. We had a wren to nest in my hanging houseplant to the left of the door on our back patio this spring. Let me tell you they ruled the back yard! It was wonderful eating breakfast or lunch out there and watching them hop from one plant to the next to the firewood to the rubber tree to the fountain then sneak into their nest, thinking they had fooled us all. And wow - when my fat cat Sage snuck out you should have heard the ruckus! Fat cat was snatched up and had to stay in except for the late evenings when she could finally lay out on the cool concrete. One day there was no wren around....the nest was empty. Apparently they had risen with the sun and learned to fly and away they went! But every once in a while the whole back patio/yard is filled with wrens! 5-6 of them! I guess the parents are bringing them back as teen-agers to see the old home place...? Oh, and we did not have a bug to worry us or the garden all spring! It's the first year squash vine borers did not get to the squash.
