June 16 2011 I had a heart attack. I felt I was proactive on that score but you need to check your colesterol and keep it in check. I did not think I was all that off with my numbers but I was wrong.Get it checked and get to work on it.
I am home I am going to be fine but I will realy be working on this problem.

I am so happy you are home and you are going to be okay Diana, it is so hard changing our life styles isn't it. But, we must do what we need to do to be healthy and happy.
Take care of yourself Diana and rest, keep us posted on how you are doing.

Debbie

Diana~ I am glad that you are home and doind alright. but you are absolutely right about keeping an eye on cholesterol numbers. Another thing to keep an eye on is your thyroid. When your thyroid is out of whack everything in your body is out of whack - cholesterol numbers and all!

Oh my goodness Diana!

My brother-in-law had a massive heart attack over Memorial day weekend and had flight for life to a more advanced hospital. He will be okay but, this is his 2nd heart attack. He's very trim, active, and takes his medications religiously. You just never know....I think a lot of this is hereditary, but you are absolutely right about working on the problem and being proactive!

I'm so glad you are going to be okay dear friend. Take care!

Diana,
My goodness, so glad to hear that you are alright!! They say that a woman's heart attack feels different than a man's. How did you know you were having a heart attack or did you know it?

I ask not for a larger garden, but for finer seeds.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

So glad you are home and made it through this. Thanks for sharing too. Hearing from one of our own makes it more real for the rest of us. Hopefully real enough to get us to heed your warning. It's time for my check up. I'll call first thing in the morning.

I am praying for you too Diana. I recently discovered the book and 20-year study by Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn Jr. called Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease. I changed my family's diet overnight since high cholesterol has always been in both our families, and heart disease a real risk, we needed to go above and beyond the normal eating lifestyle. Needless to say, it has not been that hard and we both feel great. Everyone always wants to eat what we are eating because it looks so beautiful, fresh and delicious. It is worth reading.

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowliness. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." Mark Twain
