My DD moved back home with her 4 dogs so we fenced the back yard. I have not had any furry critters visiting my garden since then. You should see the squirrels doing the tightrope walk on the power lines and the top of the fence! Now all I need is something to kill the Japanese Beetles!

I ask not for a larger garden, but for finer seeds.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Wish I could borrow them to flush out the groundhog in my garden! LOL! They are too cute!

Diane, I don't have too many wild critters come in my yard either. I was in the garden this morning and saw a rabbit. Bubba saw it too and off he went. I need to keep that gate open so he can get in when it comes back. At first I was going to tell him no but them thought that rabbit could wipe out that whole garden if it wanted to. Well, I'm sure it's not a lone rabbit and has plenty of kin folk to help it out. I need to make a scarecorw.

Another picture of the canine critter control and my garden. Notice the fence to keep the dogs out!

Chickens will take care of your beetles. Can you have chickens there?

Kristina,
I am still fighting city hall on the chicken ordinance. It is being brought up again in July. Hopefully we have enough votes this time. We have some new council members since the last vote that are for it. Until then I will have to use pepper spray for the beetles.

Kristin,
My scarecrow did not scare anything last year. She was pretty cute though.
