Nathanael Luke was born July 17 @6:19pm. Weighing in at 10lbs 7oz and measuring @ 21 and 3/4 inches long.

Will post a pic here in a little bit. As right now he is doing his fav activity--eating!

And also I will post a bit about his birth and how it went.

Went in Monday morning to be induced. Long story short, they dilly-dallied around and didn't get me going on the pit drip until after 10:30am. Then about 4 in the afternoon I was dilated to about a 5cm. The midwife made a tiny puncture to break my water a little. I had asked for some light pain medication because the pitocin was causing my head to really hurt. So, they gave me some Nubain? I think. Then it all sort of went nuts and by 6pm I was in the midst of pushing and the Nubain was nice at first, it had taken the edge off the pain and my headache was completely gone, which was nice. But by the time I am pushing (and we had NOT a clue that he was so huge) it was pretty much a natural childbirth. He was coming out fine, but he had a shoulder in the way so they had to shove on me to shove on him and get him to turn and get through the birth canal, and OH my heavens I hurt SO very bad. I got very loud and once he came out I understood why. They were all just flabergasted at how HUGE he was. The midwife said if she had known that he was that big, she would have induced me at 36 weeks, she wouldn't have attempted delivering me at 40 wks. But, it worked out okay. I didn't tear at all. She was very proud of my labor and delivery and told all the nurses about it. She also went on and on about how handsome Nathanael is. So, all went well, this is our last child OBVIOUSLY!!!! Alright, well I have to get to bed now maybe get some rest. I am so sore today all over, like I've been boat-oared!

(Is anyone else just seeing a "?" where the photo of Nate the Great is supposed to be? Is it just my computer? I'm dying to see this big boy!)

I think the photos aren't showing up because blogger is doing something weird. Fine time for them to pick! Anyway, when my hubster gets back from his errands I will have him try something else. He's my tech guy. If you want to click on my name you can find my blog link and see that pic there.

I had to right click on the picture and select "view image" in order to see it. He's ginormous! And very beautiful.
