I love bracelets and usually wear three on my left wrist plus my watch and six on my right wrist. Some days I look at myself and wonder if it's overkill. Simple is better, right? But then I will sometimes see other women with oodles of bracelets that jingle and I think it looks okay. Or I see the teenagers with a whole bunch of thread bracelets.

Furthermore, when I wear capris (no shorts, thank you, unless I'm swimming) I have several ankle bracelets and usually wear a couple on one leg and one on the other.

Oh, well, it's what I like, right?

ok-my lazyperson question is-do you take them off nightly???? i used to wear a few on my left arm with my watch-there were a couple of thin ones i left on all of the time-simple chain types-before the beaded ones were popular...i don't wear my charm bracelets anymore (noise)- and i don't know that i ever wore one on my right arm-ever---dunno why---i love seeing them on womens arms -and i see nothing wrong with them if you are comfortable.....but---do ya leave them on to sleep etc ---and --do ya change them out to go with your outfit or mood ???? curiousminds dontchaknow!!!!

I'm with Liz. If it makes you happy, wear them. It's a simple pleasure. Life is too short not to enjoy who you are.

I'm pretty sure that the rules on jewelery have been sorta abolished. In todays "fashion", anything goes it seems! If you like it, and it's not super obnoxious (ie: offensive or loud) I think you're just fine!!!!

I love it when someone has their own look. Wear 'em proudly, and I'm sure you look great.

Thanks for your replies.

I take them off at night except for the Sabona magnetic ones. They are low profile and fit closely to my wrist.

The others are bangles, which I leave on when I go riding, and Chamilia bead bracelets which I take off when ever I do something more than going to town or church, maybe visiting a friend. Too much $$$ invested to lose them.

And about the "rules"---I even (gasp) mix gold and silver on the same wrist (double gasp)! Mostly because my watch has an old Montana Silversmith band that combines the two. I figure that if they can do it, so can I.

Plus, there's just something about flouting convention.

If wearing them makes you happy then do it. Seeing you happy will make others around you happy, too. I love to see women wearing all those bracelets. I like the multiple earrings, too. I like all the indvidual styles.

I just was learning how the new "style" is to mix metals, so its totally in fashion to wear silver AND gold and other metals all at once. But setting that aside I like it when people aren't cookie cutters to fashion. I love seeing everyone and how different their styles are, it is what makes this world interesting! If we all dressed the same and looked a like that would be pretty boring! That is why God made us all different, and gave us different personalities! :) It's not overkill if that is your style! Just be you, everyone else is already taken :) (Not sure who actually said that quote, I repeated it after hearing someone else say it!) Enjoy being you!

I wear a lot of bracelets too! I love my charm bracelets, and I always have my pearls on. I wear what I like, and I think most people have their own style or personality. You can only please yourself! Oh, and don't worry, be happy! :)

I think that there is nothing wrong with mixing silver and gold. They are both metals and both come from the ground. However, I am certain that you are correct in removing your chamilla bead bracelets. It would be a crime to lose the bracelent when one considers how much a single bead costs!

i still do not know why i have never worn anything on my right arm- i an right handed-and somewhere i learned NOT to- i dunno why!!!!!!!!

i don't own any "good" stuff anymore so i guess i have oversimplified-and i am trying to find"MY" style again--

i agree go with it! as for mixing gold and silver- yea girl!!!!!!!!!!!
