we have two older cars, with my ruined credit I can't buy a new one. The Olds is in having new brake lines and a serpentine belt put on. tonight I went out to put the Taurus in the garage and there is a good sized puddle of fluid under the engine. now what do I do ! right now I have no car and I'm not in the position to pay large car repair bills. kinda depressed
Do you know what the fluid is? It could be something that a cheap fix might get you by with for now--such as if it was radiator fluid, getting some stop leak.

I empathize. I spent a serious chunk of my tax return on a 5 year old PT cruiser to be my dependable family car, and then the timing chain snapped a couple weeks after the rest of the windfall was gone. >_<
I had to borrow the money from a relative and I hate that hanging over my head right now.
