Good Morning Everyone, it is another beautiful day in Colorado. I hope everyone is working on their treasures for their swap.
Just wanted to remind everyone that you can send whatever you want, homemade, altered, store bought, whatever your heart desires as long as you have fun preparing and getting your 4th of July Americana/Patriotic swap package ready. There are so many creative farmgirls out there so that is why I have given so much time for sign ups. If you are not creative (I am not very creative) you can buy something, there are so many wonderful things out on the market today honoring America and our soldiers. You do not have too spend alot of money either, it is the thought that counts.

I just had a thought if there is any farmgirl out there that would like to post a picture of their Active Duty Son, Daughter, Husband, Brother, Sister, Grandparent, Dad, Mom etc. and our Veterans, Past or Present please feel free. If you have a story please share it as well. As it is about all of them, our freedom and why we celebrate America.

Okay here is a picture of my Veteran, my hubby Tom. We were in Hawaii celebrating our 35 wedding anniversary a gift from our son when this picture was taken two years ago.
My hubby spent 23 years in the army, he was a Medivac Helicopter Pilot in Desert Storm, and I am so thankful that he made it home when a lot of our soldiers did not. I am so proud of him and thank him everyday for fighting for our freedom and coming back home to us.

My Thomas, 16 yrs in Regular Army,8 yrs in the Army Reserves...Stationed in Farah Afghanistan at the moment until April 2012...but will be home for 2 weeks the beginning of July!....Michele'

Oh I am so excited, looks like to date we have 20 farmgirls signed up for the swap.
This is one of my all time favorite songs, and I cry every time I hear it as I remember my husband in Desert Storm and all our soldiers who are over there now. This is for all our soldiers out there. A little quote from Lee Greenwood's Song:
