I have a friend that is really interested in food storage. Their family never had reliable income during the winter months when she was growing up.
Yesterday, we were talking about food storage and she admitted that she doesn't really have a good system down and often times has to throw things away at the end of the year! This is causing a lot of stress between her and her husband because he things that she is over shopping and then being wasteful.
She recently saw a link I posted on my Facebook page about the Bare Burrito (one of our favorites!!) and she was asking me about the MaryJane food.
I can't tell you how happy it made me to talk with her about the MaryJane's Farm food. I am extremely passionate because not only do I know and respect the company that makes and provides it- it has a long shelf like and provides real nutrition.
I am sure that we could all stuff our pantries with nasty packaged, processed, and refined foods that while may be appealing to some- provide little food with a high dosing of chemicals that our bodies have a hard time processing. Or, as a healthier option we can store those things that our families actually do eat and healthy foods such as the MJF food that is very quick and easy to make even in an emergency situation.
Anyway- both my friend and her husband perked up when I told them about the long storage life and how we use our MJF stash continually for healthy meals at the office. That way the stash is rotated fairly often and we can be confident that should an emergency arise- the food will taste just as good as the day it arrived in the mail!

Oh Alee, I love sharing MJF food, too. Living way out in the country, not only being prepared for emergencies, but just being prepared if you mess up cooking something! LOL. I remember one time that I was making something in the crockpot, and it turned out HORRIBLE. Neither my husband or I would've liked it. Well, in enters MJF food! My husband didn't have to stop and grab some totally unhealthy take out, spend way too much money, and it was easy, quick, and tasted good. Not to mention, those 2 serving packages seem more like 3! There's lots in the packages. (Although, with the chili mac we fought over the last bit. LOL!)

Megan- I totally agree! We usually buy bulk so we can make just enough- and it's definitly good with Chili Mac so we can make some extra! Nora loves it and will eat about as much as her dad!

Hey Alee,
Be sure to mention to your friend that we now can pack the 3 pound bulk items in Mylar bags with O2 absorbing packets for an even longer shelf life. About 5-8 years for bread products and 15+ for everything else. The Mylar packaging is 10% more than "regular" price and I'm always happy to help customize orders for folks.
