Heather...you so crack me up! Only women older than 30 know they are just beginning to bloom.

Jen- I'm going to say something whacko here. Self-fulfilling prophecy. This is something people do when they have an expectation of a certain result. i.e...they expect they'll be thrown out in the street and so they act up in order to make that happen. They then say they knew this wasn't going to work out. They also will give you a guilt trip about throwing them out in the street...even though they caused it...

It's called a toxic relationship...It's no fun. I had to cut off one of my DD's grandparent's relationship because it was toxic. I feel guilty about it but less so than if she grew up with the psychological damage it would cause from staying in contact.
