Just checking in with everybody in Oklahoma. We're out of the cellar and in good shape here near McLoud. I sure hope the rest of you all are fine.

Thank God you're okay, Mary Beth. I just saw the news for the first time minutes ago and immediately started praying. They just set off the sirens in Joplin moments ago with the new tornado warning. I am just praying nothing more will touch down. God bless all of those affected. Hugs - Nini

I'm wondering about Cheryl at Ada. You ok, girl? :-)
We were miraculously fortunate as a multiple vortex tornado lifted before getting to our area, went overhead and set down a few miles directly north of us. We have debris in our yard that was dropped from where it touched down prior to our home! Amazing. But oh, the people who are hurting. It is just awful. They are still looking for a little 3 yr. old who is missing at Piedmont. His pregnant mother is in the hospital in critical condition as is one other sibling, while his 15 month old sibling died in the hospital this morning. Just heartbreaking.

Oh my gosh Mary Beth!! That is horrible! My heart goes out to everyone affected- especially the kids. I can only imagine my poor baby being missing and scared after such a horrible storm. It rips my heart in two!

For anybody who is curious, at the blog,I posted a video of the tornado that jumped right over us and came down just to the north. A storm chaser caught it as it came down out of the clouds again just south of the interstate and then crossed the interstate. The storm chaser said that it hit a semi truck and tore off the back of it, putting some of the debris in his truck. The semi driver managed to drive away in the cab of what was left of the truck!!

My family's prayers are with you and all the Okie farmgirls. We lived in Oklahoma during the devastating May 3rd tornado. I hate seeing Okies having to go through something like that again!

Judy, really? Where were you living at that time? That was the worst one that I have seen. It was horrifying. I was stuck in Norman at the time and frantically looking for a place to take shelter. That was one awful day.

Glad your are okay Mary Beth. After talking to you on the phone I later turned on the tv and they were showing storms moving in. Then they started reporting tornado touchdowns. I knew they were close to you and was hoping you were in your basement. There are so many people whose lives are torn apart. I am praying for them all.

------------------------- We lived between Guthrie and Crescent. The one that went by Crescent left a path 2 miles from our house. It killed a lady that we attended church with. This tornado didn't get the attention that the others did because it stayed pretty rural other than the damage it did in Mulhall. If you were in Norman when the big one hit in Moore, you had to be shaking in your boots! Glad you all are okay after this last one.

Judy, my husband's family is from Crescent so I know that area between there and Guthrie. Wow. You must have been shaking as well!!
Yep, we thought that it was going to hit Norman, but it veered northward a bit. My daughter was at ballet and my son at band and I was driving all over the place trying to pick them up and figure out where we could get underground. Dumb me finally stopped at a State Farm office and asked if we could come in, hoping that they had shelter. They were watching the tv, as that monster progressed, in a totally open, glass surrounded building!! We'd have been dead if that thing had hit Norman!!
