Okay, now I do not live on a farm or ranch I live in the mountains, but oh what I wouldn't do for a little farm and cabin in the woods.
I have not had farm fresh country eggs since I was a very young girl, and at 55 years old so I do not really remember eating them.
I am a volunteer for our little 4 mile fire department as a Dispatcher, well our EMS Medical Chief she owns a ranch. She sells beef, pork and eggs. So, I bought a dozen and a half today, we need to support our local farmers and ranchers as much as possible.
Well, would you look at the different color of these eggs, AMAZING! I could not believe it they don't look real and they are all different sizes. So, guess what I am having for dinner? That's right Farm Fresh Country Eggs.
Thank you to all our Farmers and Ranchers out there no matter how big or small, I want you to know you are appreciated.
Farmgirl Hugs,
Debbie

Hey Debbie! Isn't it wonderful! I recently had a lady buy some eggs to show to one of her friends because the friend didn't believe that eggs came in any color besides white!! Thank you for supporting your local farmers and ranchers!

Those are gorgeous! I love the different colored eggs! I really want to have a back yard flock! It would be a bit like easter every morning when you got to pick up such beautiful eggs!

Those look like my hen's eggs. All colors and sizes and shapes sometimes. I never know what I'll get when I go to gather eggs. I am so glad you are supporting your local farmers. Thanks for doing that. Enjoy your dinner!

I would say your friend has some Aracauna hens by the green colors, my kids who are all adults now, refered to the green eggs, as Dr, Suess (sp?) "Green Eggs and Ham" eggs,lol...enjoy, theres nothing better than farm fresh...and thanks for supporting your locals...

Dinner is over, and I had the most amazing eggs, they were the freshest eggs I have ever eaten, I had too:-) Thought I would let all you farmgirls know how wonderful they were, I am a convert and will never eat grocery store eggs again. I want the farm fresh ones, I will let my friend know how wonderful her eggs were.
Tomorrow egg salad!

Yum! My farmgirl friend delivered 6 dozen to me today! Will keep some for myself and then have family memebers who are interested in supporting local farmers/buying local who will get to enjoy the rest! There is nothing like them! :)

Debbie - thanks for your thanks (sounds funny, doesn't it!) I'm one of those egg and veggie farmers that sells a lot of what we produce, and it's nice to know that someone really appreciates them. I'm so glad you got a taste of 'real' eggs again!

Of course you are right Tina they are Aracauna my friend told me. Next time I will go to the Ranch and pick out my own eggs at her invite, I can not wait. Will have to eat the eggs up pretty darn quick so I can get more, sure not a problem though, I am boiling a few now for my egg salad. I want to visit with her chickens and all the other animals, it will be so much fun.
Thank you again farmgirl farmers and ranchers, I am so happy I found all of you.
Farmgirl Hugs,
Debbie

Fresh eggs are amazing! I still smile every time I think about our first egg. I was sooo excited. I hard boiled it so my sweetie and I could share it. I was shocked at the difference between store bought and farm fresh. I can't wait to get chickens again.

Fresh eggs are SO MUCH BETTER than the ones at the store. I wish more people had access to them! It seems like there is an overabundance (Like here) or there's hardly any at all (Like at my hometown in California).
