Angela, yay! I need bread pans so bad!!! A pile for $.50 is amazing! That's a great find.

The tears I shed then, watered the flowers I harvest now.

I found a horse bit for $1 at the goodwill. The cashier looked at it and said I dont know what this is but I assume you do. I filled her in. She wasn't impressed. I was tickled to get such a good buy.

I just love those little 'antique' shops that are all over our little town! They are truly JUNK shops most of the time, but then you find a real gem hidin in there.

I got a very old, but complete and workin, dough mixer! It's made of a 2 gallon metal bucket with a crank handle stickin out of the top and the lid is with it! You can still read the directions in the raised letterin on the lid. It's gorgeous!

I only paid $25 for it!

I intend to use it mainly for a butter churn, but I'm gonna try to learn how to use it as an actual dough mixer. Right now I have to hide it in the closet to keep the little ones off it. They are fascinated with it.

I found an old VHS rack at Goodwill for 2.50. The rack was 5 sections high. I nailed some nails on the little racks and now it's a shoe rack! It works GREAT! It's tall, instead of wide, so tall shoes and shoots go on top, and shoes get lower (height wise) as they go down to flip flops on the bottom rack. :)

I have one of those dough mixers and I never even thought of churning butter. That is a fantastic idea! I may have to try that. Thanks for the idea!

The butter churn idea came from my grandma. She had one when her and my grandpa first got married. They got it for the fact that it had many purposes. They also used it to carry water from the well pump to the house to fill the water bin in the kitchen and stuff like that.

By the way, it can be used as an ice cream maker if you put it in an ash bucket and put ice and rock salt around it. It actually is super nice for picnics since it holds a huge amount of ice cream!

I recently got at a thriftstore warehouse- a playpen made without a floor (for my 2 growing chicks to play outside in), a $150.00 (from the dealer) tonneau cover for our subaru wagon, a perfect "prim" birdhouse/mirror, all for $9.00!

Be the change...
