Hi There:
I would like to make my own liquid soap (Natural or not) to use on pets. How do I get started?
Thanks,
Doglady

Tina, I have seen many recipes on the internet, just browsing for shampoo recipes. I just bought a used book called "Making Natural Liquid Soaps" by Catherine Failor. She has a dog section and has many blends to add to her basic shampoo recipe. I have not personally made shampoo or soap from scratch, yet, but it is on my to-do list! Good luck. |

Hi,
Thanks Melissa and Robin for showing me where to start. The website has lots of information and I will check into the book. It has really helped. Is liquid soap the same as the liquid shampoo? Just wondering.

Tina, I really like your web-site! My mom is a dog groomer and breeder, and I work with her in her shop, bathing and drying dogs. As far as your question, I haven't made my own soap and shampoo yet, but I think that shampoos have a little different oil make up than soap. Someone more experienced would know. |
