Candismom and Daffodil Dreamer - both of your cookbooks went in the mail today. Daffodil - yours will take 4-6 weeks. I hope you both like what I sent! I had fun picking them out and sending them. Jeannie

I would like to do this also--my family did a cookbook about a year ago and it's a good one--professionally printed like all the local ones. I will wait to hear who I should send it to! Fun! I collect cookbooks, probably have over 200. The recipes I would call basic, comfort food, for the most part, but a real good variety.

We did a family one once too. My husband's side of the family..mostly all us sister in law's recipes..it was fun and good! I wish I had one from my side of the family but most of them don't like to cook much. It would be mostly my recipes!
I think it is a great idea to use that one for the swap Lora..I know I would love to get one like that!!

Buttercup, you have created a fun swap here and I am thankful you are "heading it up". I, too, have found good emails in my junk email and now I have to try and remember to check them first. :)

OK, so round 3 is done? Are we going to have a round four?

Mella, I know my parents (in Ontario, Canada) do not get mail delivery on Saturdays. In the U.S.A. we get residential mail 6 days a week, sometimes not on weekends for businesses. If we have post boxes instead of mailbox at our house, we sometimes get the mail after Saturday/before Monday if postal workers are sorting on a weekend.

It takes forever (usually ten-18 days) for my mail to get to Canada addresses. I have family in Ontario and British Columbia. It takes about 7-15 days for me to receive mail from Canada; if it takes less than a week, it's a miracle!

Family members on both sides often hand-carry the mail through the border and mail it inside the destination country to save time.

Hope that helps!

Jo

Hello Farmgirls....I am having troble understanding the THEME to this cookbook swap...I thought in my weak mind that is was just a Regional cookbook swap...Now when I read back pages I find out its a Holiday swap...I collected two cookbooks from Senior center..One for Buttercup my original partner whose emails I had trouble getting..and one for Kelly.. Does this mean I need to hustle up some holiday cook books also......Not a problem ,just confusing. ....newheart.......margie

Love of friends and family makes the world go round..and always a little Chocolate....
