Karen,

Thank you so much for the fun Mail Art, I got it yesterday! The cards are beautiful and the little journal is super fun. Oops I forgot the seeds! Thank you for the zinia and cosmos seeds, I can't wait to see them bloom. I will post pics as soon as I can.

Melissa,

Your mailart is on it's way! I hope it gets to you by Monday, thanks for your patience.

Trying to upload a photo of the nice mail art I received from RoDonna Carson, Farm Girl #2361 in Frankfort, KY. If this doesn't work I will try again!

Breanna hasn't written to say if she got my mail art, but I sent it a while back, so it should be ok to post a picture.

Good Morning Danielle, I received my Mailart on Saturday, it sure did make my day. The postman hand delivered it so that it did not get bent on the way. Thank you so much.

Gorgeous mailart everyone!

CeeJay, I have thought this out and have decided for now to opt out of mailart. I really love making mailart each month especially, and I also enjoy looking forward to mailart in my rural mailbox-it really does make my day.

But, I know I guess I shouldn't take this all personal, but it does really really hurt my feelings when I go out of my way to make something nice, include little gifts, and never get a reply that my mail was received, a thank you-nothing-this has happened several times to me now-and it just upsets me too much to continue.

I love the mailart so much that I will pop in and view all the gorgeous mail though-hugs to all Kathy

I agree with you and sorry but I can't think of one reason why a quick thank you can't be done. Doesn't just happen with mail art, sorry to say.

Oh Kathy I am so sorry too, but honestly it is not just the Mail Art Swap it happens so much with the Secret Sister Swap as well. I understand and it is just common courtesy, just an email that says I got it thank you would be nice, but we get busy and I think sometimes ladies just plain forget. I have wanted to stop many times but only because I did not think my Mail Art was good enough. But CJ always gives me a very good reason why I should not give up. Plus the ladies who do acknowledge my Mail Art and say they like it makes my heart sing.
I would love to be your June Mail Art Swap Partner next time if you would truly like to stay and I promise I will acknowledge and post when your Mail Art arrives.
But, let's see what CJ has to say okay?
I am a Midwestern gal as well from Missouri and I hate to see that your feelings are hurt, so hang in there alright?
Farmgirl Hugs,
Debbie

Hey Kathy....hang in there! I have had it happen in other swaps.....a couple of times here in mail art. Last month as a matter of fact....but I know there will be some one out there that will really need that uplifting mail from me. Life is what it is...and I do not want to miss out on brightening the day of that one special person. It's great when someone acknowledges your efforts but I have no real need for validation to know I did a good thing!

My best to all,
Mel

I am sorry Kathy your feelings are hurt. I do the swaps because I like to make things-it's good for me and just have developed the attitude, once I put it in the mail I let go. Things do happen but it's hard to believe the long drawn out tales of why no response when I see them signing up for other swaps and leaving comments.
I do crafting because it make me happy and hopefully I will get better and better at creating.

wow!-you have all touched my heart so thank you, I wasn't expecting any sort of response at all-so I thank you all.

I need to learn to put it in the mail, knowing I did a good thing, and then forget about it. I am going to be visiting my Mom up in amish land near nappannee indiana in June, so as not to feel rushed I have mentioned to CeeJay to take me out of june-I will think about this again and decide end of June-I have also thought of being a mailart angel only--hugs and blessings to all of you-Kathy

Kathy, I know what you mean and I havn't been in the mailart swap all that long but this is the best group of ladies that I have been associated with in a long time. Everyone is always so positive and helpful. Take some time and think about it. Will miss you.

Kathy please hang in there (take June off) I just love all the beautiful cards you make and was looking forward to being hooked up with you some day...someday will come!!! Take a little break and come back refreshed and ready to jump right back in. I have always thought it was about the fun we have making them (I have double fun because I do it with my Farmgirl Sister) and the joy we get from knowing it will brighten someone else's day, whether they have or take the time to share with us. Make it about your passing on the joy!
