Cute little piggies Kris. Now you can stop worrying with them and about them. But, they are really cute. I think I would miss them too.

So the butcher called. SHe said it weighed out at 95 pounds. Man, all that feed and I just egt 95 pounds. And it's just going to cost $55.00. I will pick it up next week when the hams are ready. Can't wait to see them. She said the pig didn't have hardly any lard so she gave me some from another pig.

I've read that the best way to do pigs is to put them in a pasture you're planning to till next year and they'll root it up and fertilize it nicely for you, and you offset the cost of feeding with a surplus of natural scraps. If you don't produce enough edible waste routinely and don't have the space I don't think it's worth the trouble, at least not to me.

After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good he started roaring. He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him. The moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut.” ~Will Rogers
