Hi Girls I just posted this on the thrifting page but probably I should ask here... How do you clean the items you have thrifted ??
I am so paranoid about bringing some bug home it stops me from going to some of these places. What do you all do ?? How do you wash the cloths or maaterial to make sure its clean and not harboring some little bug. ??? Advise /help... Am I just paranoid??
Thanks : ))

My method of dealing w/ this issue is just a long cycle wash using the hottest water and then drying in the dryer on the hottest setting.

You can also seal items in a plastic bag for a few days and then clean them - double duty!

Thanks Elaine,

I have some tea tree e.o. and think I could add that to the laundry soap in the wash cycle for good measure.
I think I just have a phobia about it.

My things go right in the washing machine, The other things either in the dishwasher, or washed by hand really really good.
