I don't have all my magazines in my new home yet. Still in storage. Any way I could swear I remember seeing a article in one of the magazines about making signs for the garden by using the nail/hammer design on tin can lids. However, I can't remember what they put them on for stakes, and how to adhesive them to the stake. Any one remember anything about this?
I have been saving can covers to tie together to hand and keep the birds and critters from the garden. I also have seen the signs, handing from a made wire hook also glued to popsicle sticks. Jill Lillian
It is in the book. I didn't use the can lids but I used the plastic lids that come on margerine etc because I didn't want the grand kids to get cut on the metal. I draw a picture & write what is in the row on each one. I hope it will help them learn their garden stuff!! I made a hole in the top of mine & ran fishing line through it to hang on my stakes. I hope this helps.

We reuse everything around here! My milking shed is built out of pallets. It is great!! The buck sheds is also made from pallets! It is so sturdy that not even Solomon (my buck) can push it over!!
