I guess I didn't properly introduce myself the first time, so I'll give it another shot. I'm a (step)mom to a 16 year old and an 11 year old, and mom of a 9 year old and a 5 year old. We have sheep, goats, a few beef cows, 5 normal chickens, 10 chicks, and one "Parmagiana the Immortal Chicken". She's 8 years old and has avoided all the horrific problems a chicken can get into on a farm. Plus she still lays! We also have 3 dogs, a couple of housecats, and 4 barn cats. I've been married 9 years in April. I love music (playing flute, piano, tin whistle, and wishing I had my own dulcimer). I also love gardening and herbs and photography. It is really nice to have found a community of like-minded gals!

Welcome BoPeep214 from Spokane Washington! I just joined up, too! Glad to see you love the "critters". I love the fact that you have the Immortal Chicken! She must be well loved, and sends her thanks with every egg! I had a chicken once, when we lived in the city near Los Angeles, she just showed up one day, and became the queen of the roost. She actually acted like a dog, she would sit and cluck and fluff feathers on command! Really miss her, had to give her away...Hope you have fun here, I'm looking forward to it! Oh, I have a secret desire to learn the hammered dulcimer someday!

Greetings Stephanie! You'll really enjoy being a part of this! Would you happen to sell your wool? I'm learning to spin and I want more roving. Cheers! : D

Welcome BoPeep214 from Buzzn Bee (Deborah) from Muncie Indiana.
Glad to have you with us. With all of your critters, you sound like someone with a heart as big as all of Indiana. You will really enjoy the MaryJane Farm Sisters. I have learned so much from all of them.

They too have hearts as big as each of their states respectfully.
The bond we share runs deep as sisters.

Again a big hearty Hoosier Welcome to you.

Looking forward to getting to know you.

Thanks everyone for such a big welcome! I am sooo excited about MaryJane's Farm Sisters. It's strange that there seem to be so few gals around my immediate area that enjoy the life and values of a farmgirl. I hope to find more, and maybe even "convert" the ones that seem to have the heart! Can't wait to get to know y'all!
