After months of not enough hours in the day, I am finally able to sit down and peruse the forums. Figured that I would start here. I am writing yall from beautiful Cumberland County, TN on what should have been a sunny and warm day, but the sun has taken his sweet time chasing away the clouds today. A bit about myself:My name is Rachel & I love to garden whether it is veg or flowers, and I love animals! We are putting the final touches on our fence for our horse, and just recently acquired 8 cute chicks. I am in the process of "green"ing up the house and trying to get the family on board, plus trying to find room for fruit trees. Sooooo many plans, just not enough hours in the day! I look forward to chatting and getting to know fellow Farmgirls!

Welcome from another TN farmgirl! You are just a couple of hours from me. I know what you mean about the clouds. That warm sunny weather we had a couple of weekends ago has made me very impatient with the cold. I'm a veggie/flower gardener too. I'm currently living in town (Yuck) while my addition to the cabin is being finished so the chickens and bees will be replaced when we get back out there. I'm going out there to manage the garden but couldn't handle the critters long distance. Hopefully I'll be "home" in June. We had American Saddle Horses growing up. What is yours? I don't have any now. Fruit trees are in our plans too.
Glad to have another Volunteer State Sister!

Hello Rachel from what is usually sunny Florida. But, today is dark and rainy. My garden is loving it, so I welcome the much needed rain for all of God's creations!

You'll have a good time getting to know each of the farmgirls and joining in the fun!

Thank yall for the welcome. I had an Appaloosa growing up, and now we have a rescue horse. He has some racking horse in him, and he moves so nice, just fluid! Can't wait to get him home! Hope your cabin is finshed sooner that expected!

Welcome, Shiloh, from eastern Kentucky! There's so many horse rescues in KY, once hubs and I get settled in a schedule with our new daughter, we'll hopefully get a couple! I was raised in 3 day eventing, and have owned/trained TB's most of my life. :) You'll love it here!
