To make a very long story short, my husband just found out a couple weeks ago that we are pre-approved for a loan and we can now start looking for THE FARM. This has been almost a four year wait. I. Am. So. ExciteD!!!

We are going to look at farms either Wednesday or Thursday of this next week. We have five properties on our list. :) I am soooooo excited! (Cautiously, though...since I don't want anything to fall through, and I won't believe anything is real until I have papers signed and keys in my hand.)

Will keep you updated!! Cross your fingers for us!! :)

Amy, I'm cautiously thrilled for you. There is nothing like working on, living in, and loving your own farm-slice of heaven. I pray the right land, with the right size and the right price just falls perfectly into place for you. Bust of luck.(((hugs)))

The tears I shed then, watered the flowers I harvest now.

Amy, that's fantastic! I am so happy for you! I so hope y'all find the most perfect place for you and those farmboys. With lots of cool critters too. I am excited for you. Can't wait to start seeing the adventure begin. I will be checking in to see what's going on.

Hugs, Kris

I am very happy for you, we are waiting also for some things to clear up and then for us to get pre-approved, it is so hard right now, they have really converted back to the old way of approving mortgages. Not that I blame them

Keep us updated, offers, home inspections, etc

I'll be sending good thoughts your way. The first step is done, just keep movin'! And remember to breath...LOL
Thanks for sharing, it reminded me of my own excitement when I found my place. Nice to remember.

I'm cautiously awaiting thhe sell of our home so we can move to a farm too!!! It's hard not to get too excited when you can almost taste it! Lots of prayin', dreamin' and trustin' in the Lord!!!

Have a cautiously happy day from a cautiously optimistic and cautiously gut busting excited farmgirl "neighbor!"

We looked at the three farms. Two were in pretty bad disrepair and needed a LOT of work. One basically had a swimming pool in the basement that shouldn't have been there (if you know what I mean) and the other the house was fine but every single out building was unusable. Not that we aren't willing to do some work (obviously) but within the same price range, we did find the third place that we ABSOLUTELY loved and it needs a lot less work done to it. We made an offer on it yesterday!! When I know more, I will let you farmgirls know!

and can I tell you gals, I thought it was a sign, because when we walked into the house we ended up making the offer on, there was a pair of THE cowboys boots I have always wanted in MY size sitting at the front door...and there was a MaryJanesFarm magazine on the counter!!!

Amy, I believe in signs, too and if ever there was one, it sure sounds like you got one in spades! I hope all works out for you.
