Its time for our 2nd Quarter project!!!!

Thanks again to all of you who participated in our Caps For Good drive, it was a smashing success!

Please join us to help comfort homeless animals with The Snuggles Project! http://www.snugglesproject.org/

Here is the blurb,

The Snuggles Project is well-known as a multi-beneficial project. The first, and most important, benefit is to the animals. After being given a Snuggle, a frightened and/or difficult to handle animal is able become calm. This calming effect gives the animal and the caregiver time to learn how to handle the situation. We believe that this calming effect has saved the lives of many newly sheltered animals.

Here is a link to the pdf info pack http://www.snugglesproject.org/docs/SP_projectsheet.pdf

Good news on this quarters project . . . no one is left out! They accept crocheted, knitted, sewn, or tied Snuggles! Completed Snuggles are dropped off at local participating shelters so there is no shipping involved.

Alright . . . who is on board? (I will keep us updated here!)

1. Theresa - 2 Snuggles complete
2. Diane
3. Fairlee
4. Nancy
5. Rachel
6. Megan

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

I would like to help out with this as well. I've downloaded the info and will be reading over it to see what I can do!

I would love to participate in this Theresa! Anything to help put my talents to good use! I was wondering, could I use polar fleece to tie together Snuggles? I know you said any type of Snuggle is accepted, I just want to make sure.

Megan, so glad to see you involved in this project as well! Thanks so much!

Yes, tied fleece is fine. I plan on having my daughter do some of that type as well. Another great thing is that this is a fun opportunity to reduce/reuse/recycle. The important points are sizing and washability (did I just make up that word?) as these are obviously going to be used by animals.

I forgot to mention . . . everyone PLEASE share photos of your Snuggles!! I cant wait to see them all. Also, here is the link to find shelters who accept Snuggles http://www.h4ha.org/shelter-directory/index.php
