It is that time of year again - I am starting the first of this years many Baby Goat Naming Contests here at Larkspur Funny Farm. To learn all about it just go to my blog www.larkspurfunnyfarm.blogspot.com under today's (3/21/2011) posting and find out all about the little girl who is the subject of this naming contest. There you will also find the small set of rules on how to enter and when the winner will be selected.
The winner will not only have bragging rights but will also win a great prize.
Please place your naming entry on my blog. You can enter as many times as you wish but with a new name each time. If for some reason you have trouble please contact me thru this thread...

I have had some great names entered but still hoping that I can tempt you all to help come up with a name for this first born gal. She has been thru a lot in her short life and I am trusting that you have better luck at coming up with the perfect name for her.
As I stated on the blog the lucky winner will get prizes according to the hobby she or he has selected. I have spinning, knitting, crocheting, sewing and then "other" craft... So just know that the winner will be receiving goodies that are just to their skill and interest.
I hope you will give it a try - past winners have been thrilled with what they won and I promise you will not be disappointed - besides she really needs a GREAT name...

Grace, I added a few more--I've been researching my maternal line of the family and remembered some wonderful strong ladies and sent their names your way. Also, one that simply reminded me of the colour of her coat.

That is incredible Jonni - I love to read those names that have a special meaning - Thanks for thinking of my sweet little wee one. She had a nervous day with the fire smell in the air - not too close to us but still carried in the air and had all of us here very nervous...

The contest end Sunday at Midnight MST so you still have time but not too much - hate to have you lose out...
I have had some great names added to the bowl and I am getting so excited to see what she ends up with...
Remember anyone can enter and you can enter as many names as you wish - it will add to your chances of winning something from your favorite hobby or craft..

The winner was Michele 2622 and the name that she entered was BELLA!!!
Soon her sewing prizes will be on their way to her and I can hope she will enjoy them. I have already been using her name at every chance I get and held her for a long time this morning explaining who the wonderful lady was who gave her the name and Bella seemed pleased.
Now before everyone gets bummed that they did not win - I have many more goat babies who are looking for names and there are tons of prizes waiting to go to new talented folks. So keep an eye out to more details on the blog and here....
