Here's a link to a good article about an artisan cheese maker. This appeals to me on many levels and makes my longing for such a life increase! Perhaps it will offer guidance and inspiration to those of you considering this lifestyle.

Thankyou for the article Clare! The PI has some great information sometimes.
This little dairy is right on our wat to Westport where we go to visit my Brother. I never knew it was there but now will make a point of stopping by for some cheese tasting on my way out there. Can't wait. Brothers birthday is this month so this would be a good excuse to go out there don't you think?

Good morning
Does anyone know of a good, local artisan cheesemaker in Eastern Washington or Northern Idaho?

Clare,
Thanks a bunch. I actually have talked a lot with them, and love what they're doing. Unfortunately, they are out of town the weekend of our show. Here is another great link for Pacific Northwest cheesemakers that y'all may enjoy: http://pnwcheese.typepad.com/cheese/cheese_producers/
If anyone knows of any other local artisan cheesemakers, please let me know!
