Wow! Congrats, CJ! Beautiful! I, too, am amazed at the horns! They must be incredible to see in person! Bramble must be keeping busy, huh? LOL!

Oh my gosh, what a cute family. I bet it took a little to remember that family tree ... uncle, cousin,.. . from Peyrone's POV!

Such a beautiful life you have, CJ. So wonderful to know you treasure it.

Bramble looks like my dog Freckles. She is half border collie and half red healer. She's also a great dog. She never wants to be more than 50 ft from me and just adores me. I didn't teach her like that she just does it.

CJ your animals are just so beautiful! I love horned beasties (obviously)- they definitely demand respect, but they're so striking!

I envy you so much with your calves :) I can't wait for my first calf to drop on the property.

With the 1/4 Angus, are any of your calves polled ever? Or is the source of Angus horned? Sorry, just curious :)

Thanks for sharing your pics! My baby fever is fed for a good week ;)

Hey Natalie,
Nope the Angus part is horned. Our bull is built like an Angus and has "Angus style" horns but his markings are absolute Longhorn with the red/white brindling. He's interesting to see!

Love your Scottish Highlands cows! We saw lots of those on our travels in Scotland and there was a guy here locally who raised them for a time. I haven't seen them lately so he's either not raising them or has moved them from where they used to be.

While I was taking the last round of pics I was close enough to the calves that Snowflake, the white Longhorn "mama" decided to approach. She has a very impressive set of horns and I started backing away. A few minutes later we saw her scratching her butt with the tip of one of her horns . . . handy "backscratcher" to have.
