We got Muffuletta and bread pudding here - anyone else? I would have made a king cake but my son and I were in NOLA for a work project last week and ate a ton of it so we are going with bread pudding. Coming back my carry-on and my checked bag were full of condiments - I got searched. They thought I was nuts for having a carry-on full of groceries, but stuff that we use a lot like cajun seasoning is really cheap when you get it close to the source.

I should have made something, seeing that my Daddy was born and raisesd in NOLA, but I made a ton of NOLA type food a few weeks back for my friend, Ron's, "Moving to NOLA" party, so I was sortof "cajuned" out :) Cooking for 50 can do that! I must have tasted that Jambalaya 40 times or so.

I love a good muffaletta, though, so that sounds perfect.

I cooked for my inlaws and made my standby Tuesday night fish dish from Jamie Oliver (lemon zest, rosemary and cracked pepper coated, proscuitto wrapped white fish with steamed asparagus, new potatoes and a lite lemon mayo sauce).

That sounds like a really good alternative to cajun - and if I had cooked cajun for 50 I don't think I would have been quite so excited:) We did get to go to a church potluck while there and had lots of good home cookin' - quite the treat for us Washingtonians.
