I started making a fabric photo album today I plan on adding pictures of my mother, father, grandparents, great grandparents etc...... I would like to make all the pages of fabric too... and then add embelishments of lace, flowers, ribbon etc etc. I almost finished the cover today, it needs some more oomph though, a few more embelishments

Front and back of cover

Anyone who can give me tips etc ?? I can always use them

Oh Marian, that is soooo lovely.
Have you experimented with 'fabric transfer' sheets?
I did that with a photo of my mom & I, bought a package of the fabric transfer paper, & using my inkjet printer printed the photo and then I ironed the transfer onto white coton fabric...then embellished the fabric... pretty easypeasy...only thing you have to remember is if there is writing, you have to 'mirror'it so when you iron it on it doesn't read backwards.
There is also printable fabric sheets that you can print on to use as your pages....
Have fun and show us more pics as you create & embellish your favric photo albumn...
WHat a great idea!

@ Grace, yes I DID use the fabric transfer paper for this project, love it :) I use that often in other projects too

I once bought a package of the printable fabric sheets in the USA, LOVED that even better but they are not for sale here. Looked everywhere but couldn't find them alas, so hence the regular t-shirt transfer paper. But that works good enough as well.....would prefer the fabric sheets though haha

Thanks for the compliments girls

Today I started on my first page :) I have printed a few pictures on t-shirt transfer paper. I still need lot's of other embelishments. I only have stickers for paper, but not much I can sew on. Might have to make a trip into town this week and see what and IF I can find some nice things to use. I have lots of lace and ribbon but only a few flowers :( The flowers I have seen are SO expensive and I can't (and won't) pay too much...have to see.
