Beautiful, wish I could pick one up and sink my teeth into it! I made hand-painted dresses for my grandgirls, and lasagna roll-ups and salad for my daughter and family, and my hubby too. And my grandson got a light, whistle, magic wand. He loves anything that lights up.

It was red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting for me. Not very creative, I suppose, but pretty yummy if I do say so myself. LOL

I took my husband out to our local Chinese restaurant since he makes dinners most nights and made him a 3-D card like I made my mail art farmgirl this month! In fact, I really got into making these 3-D cards! I made one for my Mother and one for my father too! Here's the one for my Dad, I liked it the best.

For special treats I made some chocolate dipped peanut shaped hearts which were a HUGE hit. They tasted just like Reese's peanut butter cups. I also did some red velvet cream cookies (like whoopie) but the cookies came out harder then we would have liked them. Also, the cream cheese frosting was too sweet for us and could have used a little lightening up so if I do it again with a different cookie recipe I might try adding some Cool Whip to the frosting mixture to lighten it up a bit.

We did our dinner out on Saturday at a wonderful Mediterranian restaurant. On Valentine's Day I had the man grill some ribeyes and I made baked potatoes and bacon wrapped aspargus to go with it. I loved it, low stress and no crowd.

I just made a good dinner. He was already inundated with candy from my mom and I'm trying to lose some weight, so I didn't want any sweets around...good thing those cookies weren't about, Amanda, or I would have scarfed them up!!!!

We wanted comfort food, because my hubby had to work(graveyard, so he slept all day, and worked all night). We had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, and country gravy. I made my hubby, and my DD's aprons as gifts. Pics on my blog.

Jennifer, that sounds wonderful!

All the treats and crafts are so pretty.

The tears I shed then, watered the flowers I harvest now.

I didn't make wonderful food because my husband took me to a fantastic b & b, but I did participate in the home-made
Valentine swap. I received 34 great old-fashioned cards to savor until I do it again next near and they were calorie free!

Sounds like everyone had some wonderful ideas! My husband and I took the whole family (all three son's and their significant others) out to eat. I also made each couple some chocolate treats, along with making my granddaughter a onesie! You can find the pictures on my blog: http://thebohemianburrow.blogspot.com
