You are getting me in the mood. I have a lot of work to do on my glamper as soon as it gets a little warmer than -20 outside.

Snow, snow go away - I'd really rather be camping today!!!! Hooray for melting snow in MI this week. All of our little campers can come out of hiding soon! Keep thinking spring....

We're currently looking for a motorhome glamper that we can get cheap and redo. I'm so excited. I have about 5 that are listed on Craigslist right now that we might go check out this weekend. We're also going to the RV Camper show this weekend in Novi, MI. Always fun to attend and dream over. I'm so excited that we might have a camper this year instead of a tent to camp in :O)

Good luck on your search Tammy. Ours is a mini Winnebago, but a travel trailer, not a motorhome. There can be some great finds on craigslist. My husband is always searching - just in case there is something too good to pass up. Good thing I don't have a big barn! Enjoy the RV Camper show.

Ann - neither of our vehicles are in conditions to pull trailers so we've decided if we want one now it will have to be a motorhome. A motorhome will also let us pull a small trailer with toys in it. The man is currently rebuilding a 3-wheeler he got for $100 and he plans on finding me a 4-wheeler to play on. We don't plan to get a huge motorhome, just a good starter one.

Here in Texas we are already having some good camping days. I have been asking my husband for a couple of weedends and there is always something else he has to do. So, if the weather is nice in a couple of weeks I am going to just pack every thing up, make the reservation, and hope he can come with me.

Grace, What cute things you have found! I would love to decorate a little camper, its like having a play house like when I was little, I was always adding thing and making new curtains etc. You girls must have just the best times on your glamping trips. Nancy JO

hey Nancy, and all you closet vintage trailer dreamers...you don't need to have a towable trailer to have fun....I read a blog by a gal(last year) where she talked hubby into getting a pretty much not road safe itty bitty trailer, then they permanently parked it in the back yard,,,she cleaned, painted, repaired and decorated it up as her lil hide-away to go read, do needle work and entertain her granddaughter with tea parties in.... I am all about having & enjoying trailers...who says you can't camp in your back yard?
Nancy, just think of all the more stuff you could collect...for your itty bitty home... oh & by-the-by,,,In the June issue of Oprah's magazine there will be a little article about "Sisters on the Fly" group. With some great pics of our adventures....[:D]

oh Ann, never fear, one day it will just 'click' and you'll "Show No fear" when backing up...or you can do like a lot of us gals do,,,buy a trailer dolly/hand truck ($49.00 at Harbor freight stores)..and take it with you so if you get to a campsite that is a bit percarious you just un-hitch from your vehicle & hook the hand dolly to the trailer hitch & push it into the camp site. I can move my 16ft Scotty this way, anything larger and ya might need some help.

They also sell these 'yellow tennis balls attached to telescoping wands' that magnetically attach to the ball hitch on your tow vehicle and on the tongue receiver of your trailer, to help you line up as you back up to connect your vehicle to the trailer hitch....comes in handy when you are by yourself trying to hook-up. $19 and handy....also at Harbot Freight. : > )

Wow! We need one of these for our little pop-up. Where we park it - we have to unhitch and push it back into the space when we get home. A hand truck would make the job so much easier!
Thanks!
