I'm a bit of an eclectic when it comes to how I dress:) I would say it's a bit of farmgirl with a dash of gypsy. LOL

I love going to the thrift store and buying clothes and "re-making" them into something else.

Does anyone get the magazine "Altered Couture". It's an awesome magazine typically filled with all kinds of wonderful ideas!

I buy that magazine, it is a little pricey but well worth it. So much creativity and they feature readers designs. You should send one in Kelli Jo.

That sounds like a magazine I would love. I too am a "country/mountain" girl with a gypsy flair. Have some tops that have that gypsy style to them that I wear with my jeans and boots. Can't find the skirts I want to go with them, so found a pattern that I'm going to sew up. Next time I'm in the "big city" I'll check the one and only book store and see if I can find it or I'll check Amazon. Thanks for the heads up on this magazine.

I love those Somerset mags, my fav is somerset life and Apronology. When dh and I have a 'date' we go to Borders and I read those magazines. So much talent out there!

Altered Couture is a wonderful magazine and showcases so many talented souls. I like vintage clothing (40's and 50's) mixed in with a bit of thrift store and boho flair. Somerset Publishers put out so many amazing magazines, don't they?

Belle Armoire is another magazine by the same publisher (Stampington). Lots of beautiful eye candy in there as well. I particularly loved the variations of pinafores in the most recent issue, and think I need to make up one or two for myself :)

I just happened upon a copy of Somerset Studio magazine at the grocery store this week. So far I love what I see. Noticed an add for Altered Couture and it looks like a great magazine. I'll have to look for it. Lots of great inspiration!

Cheers! ~ Marilyn

If you go on the somerset site you can order older copies, and also see all the magazines they sell. All are creative and full of great pictures. They are the ones that publish "Where Women Create".

The new Where Women Cook magazine is fabulous! I've turned both my mom and my aunt on to it. Loved the article on the bee lady in that issue too!

I'm so happy to see so many ladies here reading the same type of magazines that I do! I have the issue of "Where Women Cook" with MaryJane in it too!

I know the magazines are pricey but they really help get my muse inspired!!!! I have a friend that runs a used book store and I was recently asked if I would contribute to a "fashion show" that they are having next month for Earth day:) Everything has to be repurposed or recycled clothing!!!! I'm very excited. Hopefully, my son and his family get moved out in time so that I can get busy on my clothing:)

I love all the Stampington mags, and Altered Couture is one of my favorites. I had a crocheted sweater I made published in Belle Armoire magazine last year...what a thrill that was!

My style is alot like yours....boho with a farmgirl mix!
